Dear Citizens of Durham County:
It is with excitement and humility that I will offer myself as a candidate for re-election as a Durham County Commissioner in the 2012 primary on May 8, 2012 or vote early April 19 - May 5. I have valued the last twelve years in public service and would like to continue in this role with the support of citizens of this community.
My desire to serve again is for several reasons and I would like to share them with you. My commitment to providing advocacy and service to the Durham community is a priority for this administration because:
- I care about the citizens of this community and wholeheartedly have devoted my life to representing each of all to the best of my ability;
- I believe in transformation of communities and it is important that we work diligently to improve the quality of life for all citizens; and
- I will serve you with integrity, dependability and character.
As a Durham County Commissioner, I will champion:
- Economic Development & Job Creation
- Education
- Reducing Crime & Supporting Re-Entry Efforts
- Promoting Healthy & Sustainable Communities
